She started her career in the Indian stock market in Equity Sales with SSKI Smith Newcourt and worked for reputed brokerage houses such as ITC Classic Share & Stock Broking and Caspian Securities, a boutique, UK based investment advisory firm based in India. She worked as a Portfolio and Fund Manager in Oman for the largest Mutual Fund, Oryx Fund, before changing her career path to corporate banking for the next 16 years and gained wider industry and banking experience. She started her Corporate banking journey with Majan Bank in 2002, which merged with Bank Dhofar in 2003. She continued with Bank Dhofar as Relationship Manager - Corporate Banking and rose through the ranks to become a Unit Head - Corporate Banking, managing a team of relationship managers responsible for marketing and developing new business, preparing and presenting credit proposals, assessing credit and financial risk, and client relationship management including documentation to formalize the credit facilities. During her stint with Bank Dhofar she handed large corporates and mid corporate clients and was instrumental in policy drafting for lending against shares. She was also the coordinator for CBO audit, which gave her a unique insight into and knowledge of banking regulations in Oman. She was part of a select team chosen to work on the Core Banking solution implementation (Finacle) where she worked as a Track Lead and led a team of six members responsible for the entire lending related parameterization and customization. She brings a unique blend of experience in the fields of investments, corporate banking and core banking implementation with her to the Firm.
